perspective is power

In Tarot, The Hanged Man card teaches us to surrender and view situations from a different perspective. It represents sacrifice, release and being in an uncomfortable period of transition - when life turns things upside down.

In The Hanged Woman Podcast, we will encourage listeners to hang with us as we trust in the journey of transformation and growth. Through deep conversations, insightful storytelling and mindful exploration, we will step back and reframe our perspective on the deepest challenges and questions life throws at us. How do we press pause, learn, grow and tap into our inner wisdom as humans?

Meet the Host

Julienne Irons was born and raised in West Orange, NJ, with an innate drive to perform. From a young age, she felt a deep desire to connect, captivate, and bring stories to life. That spark ignited at just nine years old when her parents took her to see Mama, I Want to Sing at the Heckscher Theatre in New York City. The magic of that performance lit a fire in her heart that still burns today, propelling her forward on her artistic journey.

In high school, Julienne honed her craft as a member of the drama team, competing in state competitions and expanding her skills through young filmmakers’ courses at Montclair State University and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Determined to pursue acting, she set her sights on Tisch, knowing she would either get in or choose a more "stable" path. The universe answered her call, and she earned her BFA in Drama.

After working on various independent films in New York, Julienne felt drawn to the warmth and creative energy of Los Angeles. Since making the move, she has built an impressive acting career, landing roles on The Rookie, LA’s Finest, Mayans M.C., S.W.A.T, Get Shorty, The Orville, Atlanta, For the People, How May We Hate You, and a recurring co-star role on How to Get Away with Murder, where she had the honor of working alongside Viola Davis and Laura Innes. She has also appeared in national network commercials and played series regular roles in independent web series.

Beyond acting, Julienne is a storyteller at heart, expanding her creative pursuits into writing, producing, and audiobook narration, with The Hanged Woman Podcast as the newest addition to her repertoire. Inspired by guidance from Tarot, the podcast is a space for transformation, healing, and shifting perspectives.

Julienne’s journey has been anything but linear. After experiencing profound personal losses and career setbacks—particularly during the pandemic—she turned inward, seeking tools to heal and reprogram her mindset. This path deepened her connection with herself and her sisters. Together, through 3 of Cups, they are building a community rooted in authenticity, empowerment, and, most of all, love.

With so much on the horizon, Julienne is excited to continue creating, inspiring, and sharing her journey. The best is yet to come. Stay tuned!
